I used to make handmade custom jewelry from semi-precious stone, but then I discovered lampworking. I loved to do both, but my passion for creating the beads themselves won out over my desire to put them together - I just didn't have the time, or the money, to do them both.
I wish that I could, but I just can't hold on to the strands of semi-precious stone that I just won't be using. Many of them are quite beautiful and unique, and deserve to be used.
